Hope, Rosie, and Nate

I LOVE THESE GUYS! Hope, Rosie, Nate, and I had the best time with this session. I’m not going to lie…when their mom reached out and asked whether I’d shoot some headshots for them for upcoming theater auditions, I totally geeked out. None of us could keep a straight face for long as we went through different smiles and poses (except for Nate…his blue steel “serious smile” was killer!) At the end, we couldn’t resist snapping a few shots of the three sibs together, playing around with Breakfast Club poses and High School Musical jumps, and having even more laughs. Hope, Rosie, and Nate, I can’t wait to say “I knew them back when…” someday! You’re all stars. Thanks for coming by my studio, and don’t be strangers!

Reva

It was the weekend before Thanksgiving when I met Archana and Neil and their new baby, Reva. This was the perfect session to kick off the holiday season, with one of the most beautiful 4 month olds I’ve ever met, new parents with hearts full of love for their daughter, new grandparents bursting with pride, and an adorable dog, to boot. (I mean, serioulsy…Fitzgerald the puppy and Reva make the cutest duo ever!) Reva was so smiley! She enjoyed all of the cuddles from her family, and rocked each of her sweet little outfits. She didn’t even mind when we popped outside in the cold for a few shots in Mary Bartalme Park. I had the best time meeting this awesome family! Thanks for hanging out with me!

Ben and Molly

It was my birthday last Saturday. Katy, Jason, Ben, and Molly helped me kick off the day just right with a very fun session on the Riverwalk. Anyone who lives in Chicagoland knows that the weather has been insane this Fall, but I’d say we lucked out: dry with pretty overcast light, and not TOO cold if we kept moving. And it was easy to keep moving in this location, one of my favorites to shoot in. Everywhere you look is a picture. It’s a love story to Chicago every time I am there, and I just can’t get enough of these pictures. One of my all-time favorite families in front of one of my all-time favorite backdrops. The kids have grown so much in the year since I last saw them for photos. Ben is every bit as tall as me now (not a hard standard to beat, but considering he was just a tot when I first met him…that’s a trippy realization!), and Molly’s not far off. They held onto their titles as two of the best models around. Thanks for introducting me to Doughnut Vault afterwards, too, guys! You weren’t kidding…those might be my new favorites. I had the best time catching up with you four…thanks again for such a great time!

Iggy and Company

I am so glad we snuck this session in between snow storms when it still looked a little bit like Fall! It’s hard to get this entire crew together, between busy work and travel schedules, but when we do, there are a lot of laughs. I just love this family! Iggy the pup was once again the star of the show…she’s changed so much in one year, but is such a good dog. It was great to catch up with you Kirsten, Gary, Lauren, Seth, and Meggy! Thanks for meeting me and braving the chilly temps.

Isabel and Jude

After freak minor injuries and weather delays had postponed family photos in the past, I was really glad to sneak in this session with Isabel, Jude, Molly, and John a few weekends ago! Because the weather was so unpredictable, we decided to meet at their club, Valley Lo, to have indoor and outdoor options. What a beautiful spot! It was cold but bright, and we were able to find a little bit of color left on the trees in between snow storms. Isabel is always a fun top model…and JUDE! Oh my goodness, his smiles! I was so thrilled to capture these. Thanks for sticking it out in the cold with me, gang! It was great to see you four again.
