Almost time for twins!

Mike and I had the best time with Megan, Dave, their two cats and their soon-to-be-born twin boys last Saturday morning. Oh my goodness..twins! The excitement and anticipation was palpable and so much fun to capture on camera. It was so special for us to share in Megan and Dave’s excitement and I already can’t wait to meet the boys in about 10 more weeks! Best of luck, Megan and Dave. Thanks for such a great time. We can’t wait to hear the good news!

Konner and Joseph

Mike and I got the biggest kick out of these two brothers last Sunday morning. Konner kept us on our toes, showing us all of his favorite toys, books and puzzles, while Joey gave us his very best serious “smize.” These boys really couldn’t be any cuter and we had so much fun. It was great to meet you, Amy and Brian!

Meet Sameer

I say it time and time again, but it doesn’t make it any less true: my favorite part about my job is getting to watch my families grow over the years. It’s incredibly special to be included in intimate family moments and to witness their joy as a friend. I’ve been waiting for last Saturday’s session for months…having been excited to meet Leena and Caleb’s baby ever since their fun baby bump session last November. Sameer is incredible. So alert with big, beautiful eyes. I couldn’t get enough of his fuzzy head of hair or his great expressions. A top model, indeed.  This session was especially sweet as we were able to include Sam’s proud grandma, Leena’s mom, in some of the photos. Congratulations again, Leena and Caleb. Sam is just perfect!

Liam: Chicago’s biggest sports fan

I had the best time with little Liam last Thursday. He was full of smiles and modeled all of his favorite sports gear for me. I can’t believe this little squirt is already 6 months old! Love getting to watch him grow up. Thanks for another great time, Bri!

Fun with Linden and Hadley at Architectural Artifacts

My little buddy Linden turned 3 last Tuesday, and I was thrilled to have the chance to spend the morning with her and her family. For something different on an overcast February day, we tried shooting at Architectural Artifacts, a magical place of lost treasures and intriguing objects. I had never done a shoot in the Architectural Artifacts space before, but the showroom’s staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Linden and Hadley had a blast exploring the store’s various rooms, and I’d be lying to say that it didn’t make me feel like a kid again, too. Many thanks to Iris for helping me schedule the session and for making us feel so at home. Happy birthday again, Linden, and thanks for another great time, Lynsey and Peter!
