Rowan turns one

I loved how he clapped for himself every time he went down the slide. And how mesmerized he was, watching the older boys play at the playground, longing to be one of them. Well, Rowan…you’re well on your way! I can’t believe he’s already one. I swear he was just a peanut newborn a second ago. I had such a great time hanging out with Rowan last Thursday at the playground. It was great seeing you again, Travis and Erin!

Linden and Hadley in Lincoln Park

Last Tuesday I got to catch up with one of my favorite families in Lincoln Park. I can’t even believe that little Hadley is already one! I blinked and she turned from a peanut into a toddler…how does that happen?! Both Linden and Hadley did a great job with their photos. It was already sweltering hot at 9AM, and Hadley had just received all of her one-year shots the day before…so neither was comfortable. But, being the top models they were, they pushed through and gave me some incredible smiles anyway. Thanks for another great time, Lynsey and Peter! I just love watching your girls grow up.

Meet Hazel

You go ahead and try to tell me this isn’t one of the cutest families you’ve seen in a long, long time. Go ahead and try it. I absolutely loved getting to know Jenniffer, Scott and little Hazel last Monday as we hung out in Lincoln Park. Jenniffer and Scott had some recent bad luck with photos. The photographer they hired to take Hazel’s 1 year pictures lost all of their images. As a photographer, that scenario makes my heart stop. And as someone who clearly values the irreplaceable sentimentality of baby and family photos, it makes my heart bleed. So, needless to say, I was honored that they trusted me to take another set for them. I really hope these photos begin to make up for that loss, you guys. Hazel rocked her session! She was all smiles and what an adorable little smile she has. Thanks again for a great time!

Ben and Molly in Winnemac Park

Love this family! Ben and Molly just get cuter and cuter and we always have so much fun together. Last Sunday morning, we helped them celebrate Father’s Day with their mom and dad in style at Winnemac Park. It was a beautiful morning and since we started early, we just beat the extreme heat. Thanks for another great time, Katy and Jason!

Piper and Amelia at Meigs Field

I am so glad that Darlene and Jeff mentioned doing their photo shoot last Saturday afternoon at Meigs Field. Mike and I had never shot there before and we just absolutely loved the location. So much variety and it was the perfect place to play with two of our favorite kiddos, Piper and Amelia. Can’t believe how big these two are getting! We always get a huge kick out of Piper (who remembered our last photo session last year even better than I did!) and Amelia has really come into her own since we last saw her as a little peanut! Thanks for a great time, guys! Always love getting to see you four.
