Tali’s Baby Naming Ceremony

I can’t think of a better post to end on, right before the Thanksgiving holiday. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Ori’s awesome superhero themed birthday party at Pump It Up. Last Saturday, his little sister, Tali, had her big day, too, and I was so excited to be a part of it. Her parents, John and Judith, threw her a lovely baby naming ceremony at the East Bank Club, celebrating with all of their family and friends. I had never been to a baby naming before and was so incredibly touched by the sentiment. Mike and Ellie, who had sweetly been invited as guests, were also touched by the love, pride and joy that was palpable that day. As always, Judith outdid herself with all of the amazing details. Tali, you are truly a blessing to your family and everyone who knows you. Congratulations, little girl! And thank you again, John and Judith, for including us in such a special moment for your family.

Emma, Alex and Cosmo

Love this family! It always puts a smile on my face to include a pet in family photos. Our dog, Dorey, is undoubtedly a big part of our family, so it’s always fun to see other kids interacting with their dogs. These three (Cosmo included!) were adorable together. And, funny story: Emma was born on the same day as another one of my little buddies, Eleanor…and they are best buds! We had a beautiful morning yesterday to hang around in Lincoln Park. It was great getting to know you, Rebecca and Ross! Emma and Alex did a great job and I hope you enjoy the photos.

Colby and Alexandra get in the holiday spirit

Stefanie had the fantastic idea to take some fun holiday photos on State Street yesterday morning. We had downtown to ourselves, the morning after the big holiday parade, and Colby and Alexandra had a blast checking out the always fabulous Macy’s Christmas display windows. I did too, frankly! Happy holidays, Stefanie, Chase, Colby and Alexandra!

Jen, Matt and baby on the way

These photos were so special for me to take. Jen and Matt are friends and neighbors of ours, and Mike, Ellie and I are just thrilled that we will be welcoming a new little friend next year. Jen wanted to celebrate the start of her second trimester (and the end of her feeling craptastic…trust me, I completely commiserate!) with some maternity photos for the holidays. The light in Lincoln Park last Friday evening was just beautiful, the perfect setting for this lovely couple. Thanks for letting me share in your joy, Jen and Matt! We are so excited for you and all that is yet to come.

Abigail

Oh. My. Goodness. Would you get a load out of Abigail? She’s so darling I can’t even stand it. She and my little Eloise were supposed to be born days apart…then Eloise had delusions of grandeur and decided to come 3 weeks early. Abigail stayed closer to her due date and was a few days late (more power to you, Rebecca!) At three months old, she was so alert, aware and interested in the camera that we all had to laugh. I had such a great time meeting you guys, Rebecca, Jonathan and Abigail. Happy three month birthday, Abigail, and I hope you enjoy your first Thanksgiving!
